Bottega Veneta was established in 1966 in Vicenza, Italyby Michele Taddei and Renzo Zengiaro.

The name of the company comes from a fusion of"Bottega", which means "workshop" in Italian... and"Veneta", which is the village where the brand originated.

Crafting artisanal leather goods, the brand developed a distinctive leather weaving design, the Intrecciato, which instantly became Bottega Veneta's iconic look.
